Maphr is the third child of Einhasad and Gran Kain, she is the goddess of earth and wealth. Although Maphr always tries to avoid conflict, never daring to speak up against her mother, she is by no means dim-witted or dull. It was her who wrote the famous textbook on Absolute Geometry which later became known as "Maphr's Tablet". Absolute Geometry is the mathematical basis for the theory of moving objects, astronomy, navigation and all engineering, be it manufacturing or architecture. Maphr taught Absolute Geometry to the Dwarves and thus laid the foundation for the future economic success of the race she had helped create. On the statue the Dwarven merchants have erected for Maphr in the center of Giran, she is holding a so-called "sky disk" that was used by the early Dwarves for matching the Lunar Year with its 354 days to the 365 day Solar Year, for determining the summer and winter equinox and thereby the proper time for sowing seeds. In the Testimony of Prosperity, young Dwarves setting out to become Bounty Hunters or Warsmiths still have to talk to farmer Piotur to learn about these things.

But astronomy is only one application of Absolute Geometry. At least as important is the advanced technology that is made possible by that set of mathematical procedures. After the Giants had rebelled against the gods and were utterly defeated, the gods, fearing further attacks in the future, recovered Maphr's Tablet from the ruins of Arvitaire, broke it in twelve pieces and scattered those across the world. Naturally, the Dwarves are eager to get their hands on Maphr's Tablet again. The Black Anvil Guild has sent an investigation team to the Cruma Tower, an old research institute of the Giants. There the team led by Maestro Nikola and researcher Lorain did in fact discover a locked box which they thought might contain fragments of the Tablet. Maestro Nikola could convince a young Dwarf eager to prove his mettle to sneak past the monsters in the Cruma Tower and open the box. It did contain one fragment of Maphr's Tablet that was later forwarded to the Elders in Dwarven Village for translation.

Apart from that, there exists a partial copy of Maphr's Tablet that Elder Cronos has made, a scholar who was already old when the Elmoreden Empire was founded. This copy, called by him "Scriptures of Knowlege", has six chapters which are meaningless unless one puts all of them together. Cronos is well aware of the dangerous potential of Maphr's Tablet. Therefore he makes sure that at least his copy does not fall into the hands of the Dwarves or, even worse, the power-hungry Humans.
