Few records of the [[Merchants of Mammon]] exist, but it is known that they recognize [[Maphr]] as their goddess while believing mainly in the accumulation of wealth. They are keen observers of the sky and use the mathematics derived from Maphr's Absolute Geometry to predict the course of the stars. But while the other Dwarves use astronomy mainly for navigation and determining the proper time for sowing seeds, the Mammon Guild believes that the future of wealth and business flows with the movements of the stars. Of course this is pure superstition, and therefore they were early on expelled from the [[Dwarven King|Dwarven Kingdom]].

Surprisingly, or maybe not so surprisingly, this guild survives even to this day. There are at least two Merchants of Mammon regularly visiting the Necropoli and selling to those adventurers who are lucky enough to meet them various items to strengthen their bodies and their equipment. In addition to that there are two Blacksmiths of Mammon, travelling between the Catacombs, who put the finishing touches on the better kind of armor. And there are the Black Marketeers of Mammon lurking in hidden corners of the bigger cities, selling wares that are otherwise not available, requiring payment in ancient adena, which has nominally the same worth as the modern currency but is privately traded at a much higher rate.
