Anakim

Einhasad, the origin of all things, one day emitted a light to the heavens and earth. The rays of light that emanated in all directions had their own will and formed bodies in the shape of their creator, entities that were later called "angels". The light those angels in their turn emitted was so bright that they could not stay on the earth. Wandering around aimlessly they were eventually taken in by Einhasad, who gave them work as her servants. Since she alone could not supervise the army of angels, Einhasad had another nine children and set them up as their leaders.

The youngest of the nine children was Anakim, who mostly assumed the form of a woman with three pairs of wings. Einhasad is said to have regarded her youngest daughter as her voice to carry her will to the creatures of the land. Anakim is an agent of light, surrounded in the flames of spirits, bringing down the power of revelation to the land, or to be more precise, acting as Einhasad's liaison with Emperor Shunaiman. By giving Shunaiman her own blood, she bestowed upon him the power to control the Nephilim combat machines, and by kissing him on the forehead she enabled him to communicate with the Grail of Splendor, in other words, to wield the power of light. In a religious sense here manifestation at Shunaiman's coronation was a "miracle", but it is also a historical fact. It was Anakim floating down from the sky, apparently giving Shunaiman's rule a "holy blessing", that provided the Emperor with the authority to rule over he continent, persecuting anybody who dared to speak up against him. For Shunaiman, Anakim was was a weapon as important as the magic of light.

Then, however, while Anakim was leading the Nephilim and Shunaiman's Imperial Crusaders in an attack on the Disciple's Necropolis, trying to root out the Children of Shilen, she accidentally, or not so accidentally, got sealed in together with her dark counterpart and eternal enemy, Lilith, Holy Mother of Darkness. Cursing Shunaiman for his betrayal, she attacks with Holy Light Bursts anybody who dares to put a finger on her. And she is not fighting alone. Seven Nephilim remained with her, two Royal Guards, two Executors and three Guardians who heal her when adventurers turn from being a nuisance to becoming a serious danger. If a group of reckless fighters succeeds in overcoming the Sacred Flame, as Anakim is often called, they may find on her rather good weapons, like for example an Angel Slayer dagger, an Arcana Mace, or an Imperial Staff.
