Charkeren is located near the Swampland by the waterfall in Dark Elf territory. He had a home and a family near the waterfall and one day when he was repairing the roof, an Elven militia corps swarmed in and slaughtered his entire family, while he watched, hidden above the house. His family was tossed into the Swampland and left to rot. He feels a terrible burden of guilt for hiding in terror during the massacre.
