How to Oppose Evil
1) This quest which can be picked up at level 75 starts with General Dilios, who is standing on a side platform of the Keucereus Alliance Base.
2) Dilios is one of the most famous among the great generals at the base of the Keucereus Alliance. If you want to join the war of conquest he is waging against the Seed of Destruction and the Seed of Infinity, you must prove to him your strength and determination. The first step in doing this is to demonstrate your ability to fly. For this purpose go talk to Engineer Lekon and obtain from him a certificate that confirms your flying skills. (If you have already learned an Aerial Transformation and carry that certificate in your quest inventory, read on at step 4).
3) You will find Engineer Lekon near the fountain in the central part of the base. Tell him "I want to fly" (the middle link).
When you have completed the quest, Lekon will issue you a certificate.
4) Return with Lekon's Certificate to General Dilios. After the General has assured himself of the authenticity of the document, he will tell you to go see Special Product Broker Kutran and listen to the further information he has for you.
5) Kutran is standing just on the other side of the fountain from Lekon. The Special Product Broker will give you detailed information about the items that can be found in the Seed strongholds: Nuclei of an Incomplete Soul in the [Seed of Infinity] and Fleet Steed Troup's Totems in the [Seed of Destruction]. For every 5 Nuclei of an Incomplete Soul you bring him he will give you 1 Nucleus of a Freed Soul, for every 5 Fleet Steed Troup's Totems you get 1 Fleet Steed Troup's Charm. Read carefully what Kutran says so that you can better make plans what items to collect next.
6) Basically your mission is to destroy any monsters you can find in the Seed strongholds and collect their Totems resp. the Soul Nuclei they carry. It will take you significantly longer than a day or two to collect the number of items you need. In the example below, hunting soldiers of the Dragon Horse Army in the Seed of Destruction, it took 1 hour 30 minutes to acquire 7 Totems. The way to an Icarus weapon is a long one and at times it can make you despair.
7) When the time you can spend in the instanced dungeons of the Seed strongholds is up, return to Kutran at the base of the Keucereus Alliance. He will exchange 5 Totems agaist a Fleet Steed Troup's Charm or 5 Nuclei of an Incomplete Soul against a Nucleus of a Freed Soul.
10) With those Charms and Nuclei of a Freed Soul you can then buy recipes and parts for all nine Icarus weapons as well as lvl II Soul of Dynasty, which is needed to make the better variety of class-specific S80 armor, and lvl 81 Spellbooks. As to what exactly the exchange rate is, for that we have to wait until CT 2.3 goes live on the NCWest retail servers. In the upper screenshot one recipe for a pair of Icarus Hand fist weapons requires 400 Nuclei and 2000 Charms (10,000 Totems!), in the lower screenshot a recipe for an Icarus Sawsword requires only 136 Nuclei and 40 Charms.
