Nephilim

The Nephilim are an army of angel-like fighting machines that Emperor Shunaiman had created by bestowing the Blessing of Holiness on the greatest heroes of the time, making use of the magical powers he had obtained from Anakim, Einhasad's daughter and messenger. With their armor of white metal and wings like razor-sharp blades they were of a truly majestic, breathtaking appearance. They were swordsmen who carried out Einhasad's orders, priests who gave testimony of Einhasad's might, witnesses who ensured that Einhasad's greatness was recorded in the history books.

Strictly speaking, the Nephilim can be considered as magical entities that were created by merging the pure spirit of light with the bodies of Humans. The Nephilim Army consists of soldiers, officers and priests, corresponding to the three sections in the Lilim forces, their designated enemy. Apart from that there is a sub-species of Nephilim called "Gigants", soldiers of lesser ability who assist them in battle. The Nephilim were part of the Imperial Army, and persons who were not at least knighted, commoners or slaves, or soldiers whose body was not absolutely perfect, maybe due to some battle injury, were not qualified to join that elite unit. But having obtained Anakim blessing, the Gigants were able to act as support troops in Shunaiman crusade against the Children of Shilen and anybody else who was considered as pagan by the Emperor.

When human beings were transformed into Nephilim and Gigants they completely lost their own identity and became mere battle machines intent on nothing but destruction, being under the absolute control of Emperor Shunaiman. Executing every order of their commander without hesitation or even thought, they were an army of soldiers who were ready to jump into battle at any time, extremely useful tools for squashing any opposition and maintaining order in the Empire.
