Shiken Gloomdrake, Shikken to his friends, is an absolutely dispassionate person always prepared for any danger. He is the strongest Shillien Knight the Dark Elf people has ever brought forth. Rational and calm in any situation, sometimes ruthless, he is nevertheless loyal to his family and cares for the weak. While he was in Giran and together with Sir Kiel Nighthawk in the Griffon Knights, he and the Spellhowler Frikios were charged by Tetrarch Thifiell to bring the copy of Kaysha's Revelation that had shortly before been unearthed to Dark Elven Village. Kaysha's Revelation is a religious scripture dating back to the Age of the Giants that contains the truth about Shilen, a truth that got later distorted by Emperor Shunaiman and the followers of Einhasad. The original scroll had been destroyed long ago, but a copy of the Revelation was handed down throughout the ages. During the time of the Elmoreden Empire a Human scholar named Homius did extensive research on Kaysha's Revelation, but he was murdered by Einhasad fanatics.
While Shikken and Frikios where on their way to Dark Elven Village, Frikios, who had a love affair with Elcardia, Thifiell's foster daughter, suddenly took off with a part of Kaysha's Revelation, planning to meet up with Elcardia in the city. Shikken immediately took up the pursuit and eventually disposed of the traitor. From then on he acted as a kind of guard or bodyguard for Elcardia, making sure that the headstrong girl stayed out of trouble. After Elcardia had fallen in love with the Gladiator Kain, it was him who had to save her when Kain found out that she was in reality a daughter of Shilen.
As far as Kaysha's Revelation is concerned, one of Homius' students, Alder, had succeeded in making a copy of the scripture and deposited it in the Warehouse at Gludin Village. The Iron Gate Guild keeps everything safe that is entrusted to them, if necessary several centuries. In this case it took 200 years until a young Dark Elf going through the Testimony of Fate retrieved the package and brought Kaysha's Revelation safely back to Dark Elven Village, handing it over to Tetrarch Thifiell.
