Rafforty
Ice Merchant Rafforty, living in a cabin in the center of the Frozen Labyrinth is a leading member of the Zinnia Guild, responsible for recruiting adventurers willing to help them restore Princess Melissa, now known as Ice Queen Freya, to her original shape. Like any good operative he does not come out with the truth at once, but first sends people who idly strike up a conversation with him on simple errands, just conveying messages. It all starts quite harmless with a woman named Misa out on Frost Lake, with whom Rafforty pretends to have arranged a nightly rendezvous. A careless observer might not notice anything out of the ordinary, seeing a somewhat naive girl in a short-sleeved maid's dress standing idly in the frozen landscape.
But that first impression is deceptive. As soon as the helpful go-between for two lovers returns to Rafforty, the ice merchant reveals that he is in fact a member of the Zinnia Guild, admitting that their organisation has recently suffered heavy losses and is now forced to recruit outsiders. Rafforty tells the potential Guild member a bit about their history, their descent from the Canna Knights and their fight against Ice Fairy Sirra.
